BATHROOM MAKEOVER

*~*A BATHROOM MAKEOVER*~*

The long awaited pic of our extension and bathroom makeover.. It really started last Autumn when we first applied for planning permission and living in THE NATIONAL PARKS conservation area is it not always straight forward.. We also had to have a Bat survey done to assess we were not going to interupt any Bat colonies in the area.. It all went through quite smoothly and as my hubby is a Stonemason and builder he would be doing all of the work.. This started at the end of January and seemed to go on for a while with the weather.. He was working on our house every weekend and evening with the help of my Son-in-law and some very good friends.. The basic build went up quickly which was a second floor build on top of an existing room and then it was to the interior.. Which I will share of the pics with you today.. This is the top of my landing with my new walk in linen cuboard a blessing as old houses tend to have no cupboard space..

Looking along the landing this used to be the boys 8ftX6ft bedroom along with a bathroom of similar size.. Really tiny..
Hubby put in a wonderful victorain wooden arch so the landing flowed.
This used to be the boys bedroom window and I made a window seat here as in the morning the sun steams in and it is a peaceful place to have a quite read with a coffee and of course it has wonderful views too..
Here we have the door to the left which is the bathroom and the door straight ahead to the boys new bedroom and extension..
I have tried to do a series of pics panning the room to give an idea of what it is like..
Love this shelf and my Flax plat...
Oh yes and the wonderful roll top bath..
Hubby's only ask was an overhead shower and thankfully we had the room to spare..
I love old linens and this one from France went perfectly with my blue trim enamelware..
Back out onto the landing..
A close up pic of a doll I made especially to sit next to my hubby's childhood Enid Blyton books..
She is wearing a victorian baby vest along with some Antique leather button hightop baby boots and she has a vintage mohair doggy tucked under her arm..
Finally a sneak peak into the boys new room..
I will be adding my next batch of Makeover pics soon.. these will include the actual extension and of course the interior of the boys room.. Thanx for stopping by and I love to hear your comments.. Have a great week..*~*Blessings*~*
Another pic of Sadie No3.. I do love this doll (available on ebay this week)
