*~*Welcome May*~*

As we are at the begining of May hopefully which is going to bring some sunny days I have lots on my drawing board.. I am busy with goodies, Bears and such for the summer fairs ahead.. I am joined with my daughter this year and our different styles seem to match perfectly.. She is very much into the vintage look while I still steer more to the simple/primitive well worn look style.. So far we have had great success in our selling and lots of orders are coming in which is a great moral boost.. I have been designing some more "Most Treasured" items which are proving very popular as they seem to fit into any kind of decor..

I have some home decor plans too and I will be updating my bathroom and doing a dining room make-over along with my bedroom.. As you all know I do work a full-time day job so will have to juggle my time slightly to fit all I have planned in.. I will be sharing home pics soon so pop back frequently..

I will leave you with some pics of my latest creations these still need a few finishing touches that need added..

*~*NEW ATTIC BEAR DESIGNS*~*

I have been spending lots of my free time at my design table.. I knew what I wanted to create and what fabrics I wanted to use but pulling it all together takes a bit of time.. This is my latest "MOST TREASURED " series from ATTIC BEARS.. They are very much in the prim style and look so old and loved.. They have been popular here in the U.K and I have also had an offer to supply a shop with my Attic Bears so exciting times ahead I think..

I have been very good this week working in my studio.. I am full of ideas and have some patterns on the drawing board.. Just need to add the finishing touches to my Giveaway too..

*~*MORE ANTIQUE SHOPPING TODAY*~*

Oh boy I am on a roll this week and need to get back to my day job and save some dosh LOL.. I had a another day out today really to catch up with a friend I haven't seen in a while and she lives right next to this great Antique Market.. A large warehouse kinda place with lots of booths just filled with the most amazing Vintage and Antique items.. These great French Antique linen monogrammed teacloths caught my eye.. Fantastic used condition and a great large size too...

I brought in one of my Sad Irons from outside and popped the linens in a wire basket with a sprig of Sweet Annie for a simple display in the kitchen..

Not sure how long they will stay in the basket coz they are a great size for making pillows LOL..

My home is filled with the wonderful smell from these Lillies.. Smells like Summer..

Last but not least I have a couple of my Attic Bears on Ebay this week too...

*~*MID-WEEK MISCHIEF*~*

With the schools out for the end of the Spring term and all treats well and trully exhausted I was grounded at home with the boys today.. They gladly occupied themselves with catching up with homework and playing on bikes.. I didn't want to start anything major as I have to stop often to make snacks and drinks when the boys are around.. I had bought this heavy metal drying rack a few weeks ago whilst out on a day trip with my sisters (oh what fun I had ).. There was some funny looks when I made this purchase in an antique shop LOL.. But I had a vision for it.. Hubz had fixed it to the wall for me but I hadn't done anything with it except fix a piece of slate as a chalkboard..

I had in my mind a chalkboard wall but the thought of painting the whole wall black really put me off as I want my kitchen to look light and airy and I also thought the drying rack would be lost.. So whilst blog hopping around I found the most perfect solution.. A Grey chalkboard wall.. Much more sutble and my drying rack seemed to pop..

I filled up my rack with some goodies and with chalk in hand I nervously made a start.. The boys were shocked I was writting on the wall LOL..

I love how it has turned out.. Not too much on your face with a soft funky kinda look and seems to blend with my junk too..

With still a few hours until I had to start and prepare our evening meal.. I went under the bed in the guest bedroom and pulled out these directors' chairs.. Another junk buy 2 for £5.00 an absolute bargain I couldn't pass up.. The only thing they needed was 1 small screw and some new fabric.. Which I have had for ages especially for them.. It was only time I was lacking oh and maybe other more urgent projects..

They look so different now all clean and fresh.. They are just waiting for some sun now then they can go out and do their job LOL..

Last but not least some Bears I have been busy with.. This Sweet little Grubby White Bear is now on her way to Germany..

BEDROOM MAKE-OVER "ROMANTIC PRAIRIE"

*~* "ROMANTIC PRAIRIE" MY BEDROOM MAKE-OVER*~*

I wanted to share with you my most recent make-over.. Like I have said before my style is changing to a more simple faded look.. I still have my old furniture and some prim goods which all seem to blend with my new simple style.. I would love to do my whole house at once but as usual money and time pulls on my reigns LOL.. I have been planning my bedroom for a while and making and collecting over the past few weeks.. A long weekend off from my day job enabled me the time and energy to complete my ROMANTIC PRAIRIE style bedroom..

I love the white natural look it is so crisp and clean looking but didn't want it to look too bland wishy washy and cold so I chose red as my accent colour and wow it just makes all the difference.. I do hope you enjoy my pics..

Finally Spring seems to be in the air and it so makes me want to brush out the dust and spruce up my home LOL.. Well paint brushes at the ready I am off to the kitchen next.. *~*blessings to all*~*
