♥SNOW CRAZY♥

*A WALK TO SCHOOL*

Hi to all my blogger friends..I have been going a little bit stir crazy these last few days..we are experiencing some real arctic weather here in the North East of England at the mo..I have been snowed in since last wednesday and the snow is still falling..We have gone back to basics and are baking fresh bread everyday as there is no way of stocking up on supplies..Our nearest village Rothbury which is 8 mile away is even having trouble getting the delivery vans in..The postie hasn't been here since wednesday either and the army are delivering the prescriptions from our local Dr's surgery..well enough of my moaning as there is nothing I can do to make a better of it LOL..
I thought I would share a WALK TO SCHOOL with you..The school in our village is pretty lucky as the headteacher and class assistant both live in the village and there are 6 of the 21 pupils who attend Harbottle First School can walk to get there..
DOWN THE VILLAGE WE GO..
A GLANCE BACK HOME..
 PAST THE CHURCH..
 DOWN TO THE MONUMENT..
FINALLY UP TO SCHOOL YOU CAN SEE HOW DEEP THE SNOW IS HERE..
SCHOOL FINISHES AT LUNCH TIME SO OFF THEY GO HOME..
 THE KIDS ARE LOVING IT..
AND IT IS CHRISTMAS CARD WEATHER AFTER ALL..
I hope you enjoyed our little walk and maybe in a day or two we can get back to normal..Hopefully before saturday as my sis is getting married and I would hate to miss that..Hope everyone is feeling fine and *~*Blessings to all*~*..♥

Wow, that is unreal.. nothing like that happens here and we are thankful..I love the look of snow but not the headaches it causes.. Hope things are better soon for you..

Hi Angi,

Oh my Angi, I can't even imagine that much snow!! My grandkids would be in heaven, at least for a little while. We rarely get snow but they love it when we do.
Even though it is beautiful, I know you will be happy when life returns to normal.8-)
Blessings,
Lorna

I am sure you are not thinking this!

But oh what a beautiful walk!
So so pretty, where you live!

A small village, I would love it!
Peace & Quiet! I live on a farm, but still a busy area, nothing like your home!
Thanks so much for sharing I so enjoyed the walk!

Oh my gosh Angi, that's a LOT of snow! Hope it starts to slow down soon, it is beautiful but enough already! Stay warm, Deb

We got our first snow of the season today. It swirled around and blew and blew, but now there is just a small dusting left. It's 23' but that is still bearable here in Iowa.
I went to a small school back in the 50's, no such thing these days. Everything has to be consolidated. I'm not progress is going the right direction....*sigh*

Whoa! That's a pile of snow Angi:) Sounds like it's been smelling pretty darn good at your home. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves of how the folks did it back in the olde days. Sure hope you're all dug out for your sis' wedding! Stay warm:)

Beautiful pictures though. So much snow. My husband spent 2 years in north west England (Manchester area)
and he said he never saw much snow. Hope you won't be snowed in to long, but sometimes it is kind of cozy to have to make bread and stay in!

I just read the post after all the snow and realized that I am one of your winners. How exciting! Could you please email me, so I can then email you back with my address. I always have trouble getting the email to work right from a person's blog. Thanks so much, I think your primitives are fantastic.

Oh no, I hope you were able to make the wedding!

I can't believe you have so much snow! I'm sorry you are pretty much homebound, but your pictures are beautiful! We haven't seen snow yet but it has been pretty cold here.
